DIFFERENT GENERATIONS OF COMPUTER

 There are five generations of computer

1.       FIRST GENERATION : 

      > Computers was available during  1940-1956

> These computers are called vacuum tube

> Large electricity consumption

> Size is large.

2.       SECOND GENERATION: 

      > Computers was available duing 1956-1963

> They are called transistors

> Uses Assembly language

> COBOL

> FORTRAN

> Punched cards

> Reet

3.       THIRD GENERATION: 

      > Computers was available during 1964-1971

> They are integrated circuits(IC)

4.       FOURTH GENERATION: 

      > Computers are available during 1971- present

> They are microprocessors

5.       FIFTH GENERATION: 

      > Computers are available during present –beyond

> Examples are:

> Artificial intelligence

> Quantum computing

> Parallel process

> Voice recognition

> Natural congaged process
